Gerard H. Entingh
ENTINGH Gerard H. Entingh, age 84, of Columbus, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011. Born May 29, 1926 to the late Clara E. and Gerard Entingh. Preceded in death by loving wife H. Roberta, brothers Robert, William and Gene. Retired from Ohio State Highway Patrol, he served as District 6 Major for over 20 years. Was commissioned Major Emeritus in 2008; past treasurer of OSHP Auxiliary and past president of Buckeye Troopers Lodge 146 FOPA, which he helped organize. Retired Patrol Dispatcher; past commander of American Legion Post 144; State Treasurer, 12th District Commander and Flying Dutchman Honor Guard. Graduated St. Thomas Aquinas High School and a U.S. Navy veteran. Survived by children, Jerry (Pat) Entingh, Jean Wyant, Thomas (Betty) Entingh, Mary (Bob) Thomas, John (Kelly) Entingh; brother, Thomas (Helen) Moore; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
