On Labor Day, 12th District took part in the annual Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) telethon, hosted by ABC Channel 6. Participants from the district, especially the officers, honor guard, and other members of Don Gentile Memorial Park Post 532 (1571 Demorest Road), helped to make the telethon a big success. The Don Gentilie post in particular donated several checks to the MDA (received by ABC Channel 6 reporter Johnny DiLoretto), including the post's own contribution of $5,000.  Here are some photos taken around the three telecasts that day.
